Antique Vinaigrette Locket Pendant

Measuring approx. 2 1/2 x 1 inch. One side opening to reveal plaited hair. The other side opens to an openwork panel, which further opens to reveal a compartment to hold a fragrance, fashioned in 9k yellow gold back and front. 9k back and front was a popular construction in the Victorian era. In this construction the base is made of a stronger gold plated metal. The front and back panels are made of 9k gold. Chain sold separately.
