10.50ct Sapphire, 18ct Yellow Gold and Platinum Dress Ring - Vintage Circa 1940

Description This stunning, fine and impressive blue and pink sapphire ring has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold and platinum. The simple yet effective, twist design ring shank is ornamented with a platinum four claw set set 5.50ct cushion cut blue sapphire, and an 18ct yellow gold four claw set cushion cut pink sapphire. The pierced decorated, elevated ring shoulders are crafted in the same metal of the corresponding setting, continuing around the shank and meeting at the reverse of the setting, to the centre. The ring is hallmarked to the outer surface of the shank with the French marks for platinum and 18ct gold (dog's head and eagle's head). This stunning twist ring is supplied with a sapphire report card and certificate supplied by the Gemmological Certification Services, London*. NOTE: * This documentation accredits the sapphires originating in Sri Lanka (Ceylon) and certifies that the gemstones shows no indications of heating; non-heated sapphires are a scarcity.
